Target Group, Key Focus & Changes for 2013-2015
SFYS will deliver coordinated responses within the school environment for young people that have been identified as being at risk and requiring early targeted or intensive intervention. SFYS will work with a primary focus on intervention for the 15% of students who required preventative and early targeted intervention.
Through consultation with Principal Networks and Student Support Services (SSS), and through consideration of local data and needs analysis, each local government area will identify key focus areas for attention over the next two years. Each LGA has a different work plan. Contact your relevant worker to find out more.
Changes for 2013-15
The key changes for the new round of funding are:
- Brokerage funding for school/agency partnerships is no longer available.
- More strongly aligned with DEECD Education Networks and SSS.
- Principal Chairs and SSS Coordinators have been integral partners in the development of local work plans.
