Anchor exists assist individuals, families, children and young people to attain a safe, secure and stable home. Anchor believes having a home makes it possible for a person to realise their potential.

Anchor builds relationships, partnerships and collaborations with local communities and individuals in order to assist vulnerable people to find a place they can call home. Anchor aims to fulfil its purpose by responding to vulnerable individuals, families, children and young people who have become displaced through crisis, trauma or other circumstances, by assisting, supporting  and empowering them to attain a safe, secure and stable home.

Further, Anchor supports these individuals to re-engage with education, employment, relationships with family and friends, maintaining good health and contributing to community life.

Anchor recognises that to Aboriginal people, culture and land hold special significance.  Anchor acknowledges the traditional custodians, the Wurundjeri People, their elders - past and present - and emerging leaders. We are committed to ensuring Aboriginal people who need our assistance feel culturally safe and be able to exercise their self-determination.
